1. Agreement

These Terms of sale (“Terms”) govern your purchase of a Plato Ring pre-order from Augmentation Company (“we”, “us”), 95 Minna St, Floor 3, San Francisco, CA 94105, United States. By placing a pre-order you agree to these Terms and our Privacy policy.

2. Eligibility

• You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction
• Shipping is limited to the United States as configured at checkout
• You confirm that the information you provide is accurate

3. The product

Plato Ring is a wearable device intended to support near-silent speech interaction with computers and AI tools—such as dictation, editing, and delegation features described on the marketing site. Hardware, finishes, companion software, and feature availability may evolve between pre-order and delivery. Marketing descriptions are illustrative and not a warranty of any specific third-party integration.

4. Pre-orders

• A pre-order reserves a ring for a future production and shipping window; it is not immediate shipment
• Shown delivery windows are estimates, not guarantees
• Rings that need a sizing kit ship after size confirmation; dates may change
• Multi-ring orders may ship in more than one delivery window
• We may refuse or cancel an order that appears fraudulent, mistyped, or cannot be fulfilled

5. Price and payment

The pre-order price is the amount shown at checkout, charged in full per ring in US dollars through Stripe. Any taxes or shipping charges that apply will be shown or described before you pay once those rules are configured on the site.

6. Order process

You submit contact details and ring choices on our site, then complete payment and shipping address on Stripe Checkout. An order is accepted when payment succeeds and we record the paid order in our systems. Redirects alone do not confirm payment.

7. Shipping

• US shipping addresses only, unless we later expand coverage
• You are responsible for providing a complete and deliverable address
• Carrier, tracking, and delivery details will be shared as your order moves through fulfillment

8. Cancellations, refunds, and returns

If you need to cancel or request a refund before shipment, contact us using the details below. After shipment, returns are handled case by case according to our returns process. Specific refund windows and sizing-kit rules will be confirmed with each order status update and support response.

9. Warranty and disclaimers

Except as required by law, the website and pre-order experience are provided on an “as available” basis for an early product launch. We do not promise uninterrupted site access or that software features will remain unchanged after purchase. Any limited hardware warranty will be provided with the product or in a later update to these Terms.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for claims arising from a pre-order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer protections under California or other applicable law.

11. Intellectual property

Plato, related marks, site content, and product designs are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or exploit them except as needed to use the site and your purchased product.

12. Privacy

How we handle personal information is described in the Privacy policy, including California privacy rights.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for future orders. The version posted when you place your pre-order applies to that order unless a change is required by law.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections of your state of residence apply. Disputes will be resolved in courts located in San Francisco County, California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
